Wynwood has plenty of hot spots — fancy galleries, bars, restaurants, boutiques, retro-hairdressers, etc. — but what’s sometimes hard to find are simple, chill places to get a quick bite/caffeine fix.

Sure, there’s the iconic Panther Coffee on NW 2nd Ave, but if you catch it at the wrong time the line can snake out the door (deservedly  so).

So what should you do when you’re wandering the art-filled streets, hungry and thirsty, in desperate need of a quick break? My advice: stop in the Miam Café.

The little restaurant/coffee shop is tucked inside the Wynwood Building (i.e., the drunk zebra building), and it has both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is fresh, simple, and natural — including excellent granola, breakfast burritos, salads, soups, and sandwiches. The desserts, coffee, and tea are all top-notch as well.

Some personal favorites: the daily quiche is usually delicious, as is the carrot cake.

Plus, (big win) there’s free wifi.
